Red Corp launches Business Insights, a SME-focused magazine at the event
"SME Connects" the fast-growing business networking club, successfully held its third networking event of 2012 at the Dubai Diamond Exchange in Almas Tower, the tallest commercial tower in the Middle East. Over 120 top executives and managers representing a wide range of industries attended the event which was sponsored by insurance solutions provider "Lifecare". Adding to the club's growing reputation, telecom major "Du" will be partnering with SME Connects to enhance their long-term commitment towards empowering SMEs.
"Business Insights", a magazine that is positioned to become the most preferred reference for SMEs was launched at the SME Connects meet. Business Insights is a freely-accessible knowledge and information bank, giving practical, immediately-implementable tips, skills, advice, insights and best practice that all businesses require to facilitate growth. The launch of the new business magazine that caters to SMEs was the highlight of the evening. The magazine is available in print, while the digital version will be released shortly. "DMCC", "entourage" and "RealHR" are the producers of Business Insights through their collaborative enterprise called "Red Corp".
Commenting on the success of SME Connects, the club's CEO and the CEO for the "Red Corp" group, Mohammed Tayem said: "When we established SME Connects in 2011, there was a gap to be filled in terms of sharing cross-functional business intelligence. We wanted to build a knowledge-based club that provides key insights across the industry leading sectors, be it banking, insurance or automobiles, etc. SMEs need to support each other, to provide better solutions at more competitive prices. Today, SME Connects is delivering its promise of connecting minds, bringing big ideas to life."
SME Connects is registering greater interests from within the JLT Free Zone as well as from outside. More and more businesses are reaching out to take advantage of the networking meetings that take place regularly at strategic locations around Dubai.
Speaking at the event, Abhijit Shahane, Business Development Manager at DMCC said: "The JLT Free Zone is growing rapidly with over 4,800 licensed member companies and our entrepreneurs and SMEs are at the heart of our growth. Our involvement with SME Connects and Business Insights reflects our commitment towards empowering our members and providing them with a platform from which they can develop and expand their businesses."
The official website of the club www.smeconnects.com is active and membership is free and open to all businesses. Membership can also be accessed on SME CONNECTS Linkedin and Facebook page.
