Dubai, UAE, December 15th, 2009: Planet Pharmacy LLC, a Dubai-based pharmacy retailer, has appointed Anita Cox as its Group Brand Manager.
Ms Cox joins Planet Pharmacy from Costa Coffee where she was Regional Marketing Manager, Middle East North Africa Region, for almost four years.
Her appointment follows Planet Pharmacy's ambitious plans to launch 250 pharmacies across the United Arab Emirates and over 500 in Saudi Arabia by 2012, making it the largest pharmacy chain in the Middle East.
Ms Cox's role will involve her driving the brand growth in the marketplace whilst leading and managing all aspects of brand consistency across the region for Planet Pharmacy.
Ms Cox said: "I am delighted to be part of such a fresh and exciting new brand which we are set to launch into the marketplace over the coming months."

Ms Cox, a British national, who speaks French, Arabic and basic Turkish was with Benjys, a UK sandwich retailer, as their Brand Marketing Manager from 2004 until joining Costa Coffee.
Prior to this, Anita worked with Australia Post as Marketing Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory, based in Adelaide. Her marketing remit encompassed both consumer and business product and service marketing.
Anita started her career as a strategic management consultant with Ernst & Young.
Throughout her roles, Anita has had varied and extensive international experience, working across Australia, Asia and Europe.
"I plan to use my extensive international experience to bring the Planet Pharmacy brand to consumers across the UAE with future plans of regional expansion in countries like Qatar and Bahrain," added Ms Cox.
