Dubai : Pierchic Dubai, the award-winning over-the-water restaurant, located at the Madinat Jumeirah, today announced Julian Biddulph as the new General Manager. Biddulph has been part of Jumeirah Restaurant Group for one year and brings with him a wealth of experience from the hospitality industry.
Julian began his career at the age of 17 in London where he trained in F&B service roles and conference and banqueting operations for Radisson Edwardian Hotels. He later held management positions at The Conran Group (now D&D London) as General Manager of Osteria dell'Arcano and Luciano by Marco Pierre White Group. Julian then gained extensive experience as Assistant F&B Manager at The Stamford, Singapore which includes Jaan, one of the 'Top 100' restaurants in the world.
In 2011, Biddulph was approached by Gordon Ramsay Holdings to become the General Manager of Opal and Gordon Ramsay in the St Regis, Doha. He was simultaneously appointed Head Sommelier for the hotel, and the following year Biddulph was awarded 'Sommelier of the Year' by Hotelier Middle East after creating the restaurants' signature wine portfolio.
Julian then joined the JRG family in early 2015 when he was offered the position as General Manager of the iconic fine dining restaurant, The Ivy.
After successfully leading The Ivy team for one year, Julian was a natural fit for the role of General Manager at Pierchic. With a lifelong passion for the hospitality industry and a strong reputation in the F&B world, Julian will ensure the restaurant retains its long-standing spot as one of Dubai's most prestigious venues while continuing to drive the restaurant industry standards forward.
