Strong as ever, with its new partner
Tuesday, November 07, 2006; Ramallah- The Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI), announced collaboratly with the PALTEL group their new partnership agreement, yesterday during a press conference in EXPOTECH 2006 at Al- Bierih Municipality halls.
The press conference and signing ceremony was attended by several representatives including Mr. Jamil Dahir; PICTI Chairman, Mr. Mohamed Nafith Al-Hirbawi; the chairman of the Palestinian Trade Center 'Paltrade' and PICTI Board Member, and Dr. Abdel Malek Jaber Vice Chairman of PALTEL group. The ceremony was also attended by different IT figures and journalists.
According to the agreement signed, Paltel group will fund PICTI to enhance its projects and assure its support for different Palestinian talents in the IT and Communication sector, and expand the Palestinian IT sector worldwide.
As was announced by Dr. Abdel Malek Jaber Vice Chairman of PALTEL group "the PALTEL group views this partnership as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. We also want to to enhance creativity and innovation which we always focused on in different projects conducted by the group. We believe in highlighting the technological environment, and that is basically behind all of our businesses and projects". He also added "PICTI proved it's of providing the technological environment, to nature and support Palestinian entrepreneurs"
On behalf of PICTI, Mr. jamil Dahir, PICTI's Chairman said "PICTI is re-launching its capabilities with the same vision and mission. We also look at this strategic partnership as a major component in PICTI's sustainability for it to Incubate and provide business services to talented and motivated Palestinians, and help them transform their ideas into real projects."
And according to Mr. Mohamed Nafith Al-Hirbawi, chairman of Paltrade "PICTI's goal has always been to support Palestinian talents, and believed in gathering efforts to reach the maximum success, and that's why this new partnership is considered a new support for PICTI to give it a new vivid launch to continue with its mission." He also added "This partnership between two different entities in the IT and Communication sectors will support the Palestinian IT and Communication sector, whereby palTrade is looking forward to play its role in promoting the products and services of PICTI new start-up companies".
