Dubai, UAE- With over 6 million TVs installed worldwide and more than 25 years of experience in the Hospitality market, Philips Hospitality TV will be participating in the Hotel Show Dubai June 8-10, 2008.

For those hotels where ease of use, well being and entertainment are key priorities, Philips designs a specific range of Hospitality TVs. These TVs have the latest design and include product features especially for the Hotel TV market.

At the Hotel Show, Philips will showcase its latest hospitality TV range for the hotel rooms and lobby.

Philips Hospitality TVs have been designed with the hotel guest in mind, enhancing their experience without creating more time consuming work for the hotel staff.

The Hospitality LCD TV range offers HD ready TVs and HDCP encrypted TVs on smaller screen sizes. "TV Technology and consumer preference is moving rapidly to Flat screen. Flat TVs are more compact, stylish and can be hung on the wall like a painting. Within the next decade, HDTV will be the new standard for TV broadcasting. Broadcasters are increasingly adopting and transmitting this standard" said Vincenzo Ventricelli Director Customer Marketing, Sub-Cluster Middle East & Africa -Philips Consumer Lifestyle. "High Definition Television offers undreamed-of sharpness and depth, giving breathtaking clear pictures without fuzziness or pixelation even with the biggest screen sizes" added Ventricelli.

Philips Hospitality range includes also the Philips Ambilight TV, perfect for in-room interactivity, giving the hotel guest an extraordinary and unforgettable viewing experience.

Unique to Philips, the Ambilight sets - with ambient lighting on both sides of the screen - are specifically designed for the hospitality environment, and offer superb-quality viewing plus a perfect platform for interactive services in guest rooms. Ambilight improves perceived contrast, color and detail, giving the sensation of looking at a wider picture. It has also been proven to reduce eyestrain, by providing a more relaxing viewing experience.

Being both exclusive and memorable, Ambilight TV is perfect for adding the finishing touch to the best rooms in the hotel, differentiating them more clearly from the rest. As an added bonus, extra services like video-on-demand become more attractive.

The Ambilight hospitality TV is available in 32-inch and 42-inch models.

The Philips Hospitality range includes specific solutions for hotel lobbies in order to satisfy all requirements as completely as possible, taking the viewing experience to a new plane with the Aurea TV - the seduction by light.

For a truly sensational viewing experience in public areas like lobbies and bars, the Aurea TV is without parallel. No other TV creates such a completely immersive and captivating effect. The Aurea incorporates what is known as an active frame, which means that the picture is completely surrounded by a soft, soothing halo of light which perfectly matches the colors and light levels on screen. The screen frame is so thin you are barely aware of its presence, giving the impression that you're watching images on a floating pool of light. The Aurea operates in a stand-alone configuration, and is available with 42-inch screen size.

Both types of TV incorporate Perfect Pixel HD, the most advanced picture quality enhancement feature available from Phillips. This ensures an unbeatable picture quality with extreme sharpness, fluent and natural motion, vivid colors and brilliant contrast. Fast-action movies and sporting events never looked so realistic! The 42-inch models have full HD 1080 p display, the highest resolution currently around, and ideal for maximizing enjoyment of high-definition content. The Ambilight and Aurea TV also have 100Hz Clear LCD, a technology that increases motion sharpness to more than twice that of conventional LCD TVs, even with fast on-screen action.
