Dubai, UAE and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG) announced the signing of a contract to supply imaging equipment to Obeid Specialized Hospital, one of Allied Medical Enterprises Limited Company network of Hospitals, located in the heart of the capital city of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Established in 1970, the hospital is one of the oldest private hospitals in the capital city, and is equipped with the latest and most modern diagnostic and surgical equipment facilities.
The signed agreement comprises the delivery of multiple Philips solutions including:
Mobile C-Arm BV Libra - High quality fluoroscopy in a popular, lightweight mobile c-arm system for all routine surgical imaging applications. It is a practical system designed to handle all routine procedures, the BV Libra has one of the best price / performance values of any system in its segment. This lightweight, highly maneuverable fluoroscopy system comes with a 9" image intensifier and loads of important features.
HD15 Ultrasound - Provides physicians with superb imaging and workflow performance in a cost-effective system. HD15 contains multiple usability features to improve workflow, as well as versatile capabilities for a wide range of exam types including general imaging, cardiac, vascular and OB/GYN applications.
MX 16-slice CT scanner - Combines a high-performance workstation and scanner into one convenient, powerful, and cost-effective multislice CT system. The easy-to-use Philips MX 16-slice CT scanner is a compact system designed to ensure high quality imaging, patient after patient, time after time.
Brilliance CT 64-channel scanner - This system can expand clinical boundaries in cardiac, pulmonary, trauma, and pediatric imaging. It is built on innovative Essence technology that delivers image quality, dose efficiency and rapid reconstruction times. With a range of new and targeted advancements, including low-dose cardiac imaging, 3D volume software and expanded portal capabilities, this system takes the raw capabilities of volume imaging and makes them work harder for patients by making the physician's work easier.
Panorama High Field Open Magnetic Resonance (HFO MR) - It appeals to both patients and referring physicians alike with its wide-open design, high image quality, large field of view and broad coverage of clinical applications. The Panorama HFO provides a 360-degree panoramic viewing angle and spacious 160 cm-wide patient aperture ensuring a comfortable, relaxing MRI experience for anxious, elderly, obese or claustrophobic patients.
Ambient Experience - The Brilliance CT 64-channel scanner and High Field Open MR will be incorporated in a Philips Ambient Experience solution, which integrates architecture and design such as lighting, sound and projection. This will allow patients to personalize their environment and wrap themselves in a relaxing positive ambience. Feedback from clinicians who have used Ambient Experience solutions indicates that providing a relaxing environment makes a real difference for the patients. It speeds up the procedure, as patients are more comfortable and relaxed, and in some cases it reduces the need for sedation - in particular among children.
Allura CV20 - The first to be installed in the Kingdom, this mixed use X-ray system has the flexibility to handle a wide range of mainstream diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac, radiology and electrophysiology domains. The compact design enables clinicians to perform steep projections on standard and oversized patients during cardiac procedures, as well as perform diverse vascular procedures with the full head-to-toe coverage.
