Philips Offers Its Consumers an International One Year Warranty on Digital Video Disk Players, Televisions and Audio Visual Equipment

Dubai, UAE, June 24, 2004 - Philips Electronics announced its International Warranty worldwide service guarantee. The comprehensive International Warranty applies to all Philips DVDs, TVs and AV equipment. Due to Philips’ extensive spare parts distribution system, delivery of replacement parts is ensured within 24 hours to Europe and 48 hours to all other countries.

The International Warranty catalog accompanies Consumer Electronics products and is immediately activated upon purchase. Products purchased from any local distributor can then be serviced in nearly any other country of the world. If a customer finds that there is no service center in the immediate vicinity, the warranty is valid at the nearest service center or any of more than 100 service centers located around the world.

“Our customer satisfaction doesn’t stop at providing the best products, but continues by maintaining satisfaction with after sale services like customer service guarantees. The International One Year Warranty allows the consumer to take or purchase the product from any Philips distributor with the knowledge that it will still qualify for the same warranty protections” said Khalid Tuer, Philips Regional General Manager, Middle East and Africa.

“Even the most technologically advanced products can be serviced because Philips is the only brand that uses Compair (Computer Aided Repairs Software); with digitally transmitted service manuals across all countries,” Khalid added.

Now that Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is around the corner, be one of the first people to enjoy the great discount offers by Philips Electronics with the added benefit of the International One Year Warranty.
