Petromin showcases current and future trends in lubricants at an event attended by more than 200 experts from local lube oils industry
Jeddah: Supporting the growth of the lube oils industry across the region, Petromin recently organized a record breaking lubricants seminar in partnership with Lubrizol Corporation at the Holiday Inn Al-Khobar.
The seminar chaired by Petromin CEO Samir Nawar, was attended by more than 200 participants from prominent multinational, private, public and government organizations who met to gain knowledge about current and future trends and developments in lubricants and machines.
In his opening statement Eng. Nawar noted that the petroleum sector continues to be a dominant force in the global economy, saying: "As representatives of the oils and lubricants industry, we can be proud of our role as key players in the petroleum sector and we can all look forward to playing an increasingly important part in the growth and development of our country."
He went on to emphasize the need for continuous research and development, saying: "New technologies have enabled industry breakthroughs that allowed us to introduce innovative value added services, supporting Petromin's commitment to providing the best quality products and services that make life easier for the consumer."
The seminar sessions covered topics including Diesel Engines Oils Trends & Developments; Industrial Lubricants Trends & Developments; and Petromin Initiatives for Mobile Labs and Video Inspections Programs for Industrial Customers. The sessions were conducted by experts from Petromin and Lubrizol USA, Dr. Tim Cooper, Dr. Frank and Dr. Salim Ahmed, who imparted knowledge about current and future trends and developments in lubricants. At the end of the seminar a video embracing four decades of Petromin's commitment to catering to the lubricants needs of all sectors was presented to the audience.
To conclude the program Eng. Nawar, Mr. Sameer A. Fakeeh, Vice President Domestic Sales at Petromin, and Mr. Kashif Zia, General Manager Industry, Govt. and OEM at Petromin, honored the seminar speakers and conducted a raffle draw for the participants, which was followed by taking a group photograph of all the participants.
