CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN IS A BIG HIT WITH VISITORS OF ALL AGES
CHOCOLATE PAINTING DRAWS CHILDREN IN BIG NUMBERS
Patchi, one of the seven support partners of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) for the DSS-2004 Sweet Surprises theme week, organized a series of interesting events for both children and adults at the Wafi City on July 3rd.
One of the major draw of the evening was the Chocolate Fountain. Visitors had a choice of various types of sweets including marshmallow, pistachio, date and coconut which were dipped in the free-flowing liquid chocolate for a memorable treat.
Another attraction was the complete demonstration of the art of chocolate-making which fascinated the young and old alike. Another activity which caught the children's fascination was the chocolate painting activity, which included painting the animal-shaped white chocolates with edible food colours. The painted chocolates were then packed by Patchi and given away to children to carry home.
The evening concluded with a raffle draw which saw 7 lucky winners walk away with attractive gift hampers by Patchi.
While clowns and jugglers walked in and out to entertain the children, visitors were also in for a sweet treat as Patchi gave away a variety of chocolates to one and all throughout the evening.
DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mr. Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, visited the venue along with other officials.
The DTCM Manager Events and Chairman of Sweet Surprises Organising Committee, Mr. Marwan bin Beyat, said: "Every effort has been made to keep the events refreshing, educational and entertaining. Patchi has been a big supporter of our events and their programmes have been both educational and entertaining for visitors of all ages and nationalities."
The 'Sweet Surprises' theme week is part of Dubai Summer Surprises, the annual shopping-cum-indoor entertainment extravaganza, and is concludes on July 7.
More than 150 events are scheduled to take place during the second edition of Sweet Surprises at nine selected shopping malls with the support and cooperation of seven sponsoring partners and 25 participating hotels.
This year's Sweet Surprises initiative has been allocated AED3.7 million budget, including AED 700,000 in prizes for the children for a variety of entertainment and educational events.
