Dubai, UAE (January 6, 2011) - PARMIGIANI FLEURIER - the leading Swiss fine watchmaking brand - has launched the second line of Pershing Chronographs in collaboration with Pershing, a Ferretti Group brand and builders of prestigious Italian luxury yachts.  

The latest Pershing collection - available in 42mm and 45mm - is tailored to meet the expectations of a wide clientele and fits perfectly on the wrists of those men who prefer a sober, classic look. Designed to achieve perfectly balanced lines, its case is available in either steel or 18-karat rose gold. Its house automatic Parmigiani Calibre PF 334 movement features chronograph indicators (chronograph second, 30 minute counter, 12 hour counter) coupled to the date indicator in a large window. Its push-pieces are made from black rubber on steel versions, and precious metal on gold versions.  

Its unidirectional rotating bezel, tachometric scale based on three metres and water resistance to 100 metres make it an ideal watch for diving. Since its beginnings in 1996, PARMIGIANI FLEURIER has borne the tradition of high quality Swiss watchmaking. Thanks to the trust and support of the Sandoz family foundation, a lifetime passion has been transformed into an exceptional jewel of Fine Watchmaking.

Today over 500 craftsmen are involved in this watchmaking success story, contributing to the spread of the PARMIGIANI FLEURIER brand throughout the world, with the creation of over 5000 timekeepers per year.

Meanwhile, with a total of around 100 yachts built every year, PERSHING exhibits gems of knowhow on a daily basis. At least 12 different professions are involved in creating tens of yachts in construction - from 46 to 115 feet for the biggest. From resin specialists to joiners, from hydraulic engineers to architects, over 500 people work in bringing PERSHING's constantly evolving ideas to fruition.  

This similarity of outlooks and passions is today the core reason behind the two companies bringing together their creative spirit and giving life to a whole new family of highly sporty watchmaking collections, from the chronograph to grande complication mechanical models.  

The new Pershing collection is available at Parmigiani Boutique, Dubai, on level one of the New Retail Extension in Wafi Mall.
