Sep 30, 2004

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics, telecommunications and home appliances products, will be introducing its innovative range of 5.8 GHz* digital expandable cordless telephones, at GITEX Dubai 2004. The exhibition will be held at Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from October 3 to 7, 2004.

Taking cordless phone technology to the next level, the revolutionary new GigaRange telephone system offers long range, exceptional clarity and virtually interference-free operation. It is the first digital 5.8 GHz expandable phone system (with up to four handsets) available in the Middle East. The range includes KX-TG5230 cordless phone system, the KX-TG5210 expandable cordless phone with answering system and the KX-TG5050 digital cordless phone as well as the flagship model 2-line model KX-TG6500.

"The new GIGARANGE Expandable line-up of digital cordless phones is truly remarkable as it enables the user to have multiple handsets placed in up to four different areas in the home or office, without the need for additional wiring or separate phone jacks for each additional handset. It's the only digital 5.8 GHz system in the Middle East region to date that can do that.  The KX-TG5210, TG5230 & TG6500 also allow up to 4-Way Conference Calling and the option of adding up to 3 optional cordless systems for a total of four handsets for additional versatility," said Shigeru Uno, General Manager, System products, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE, Dubai.

The wide bandwidth 5.8GHz frequency is used in both directions, between the base and handset, so the phones deliver never-seen-before outstanding range and virtually interference-free audibility.

The KX-TG5210 has an all-digital answering system with three mailboxes. Users can call up with the handset durin playback of recorded messages on the base unit. The phone comes with a large 4-line LCD that displays the caller's information.

The KX-TG6500 and TG5230 come with Voice Enhancer Technology that generates band signals which extend the frequency bandwidth to be similar to that of the original voice. In all the models, up to 50 names /number phone book & 50-Station Caller ID Memory are included for user convenience. Users can make a call by selecting a name or number from the phone book and copying phone book items from one handset to another. KX-TG5210, TG5230 & TG6500 are also equipped with Talking Caller ID that announces the caller's name and number if stored in the phone book.

The company's GIGARANGE cordless phone series is available through its UAE distributor, Al Futtaim Panatech, part of the Al Futtaim Group.
