Leading Value Added Distributor expands its portfolio with Packet Design's network solutions
Middle East, 28 April 2008: FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, has been appointed the authorised regional distributor for Packet Design. FVC will distribute and support the company's unique Internet Protocol (IP) routing and traffic analysis solutions through its network of authorised channel partners across the region. Packet Design develops and markets network solutions that leverage the distributed layer 3 intelligence of IP to manage large enterprise and service provider networks for improved reliability, efficiency and predictability.
"The networking needs of enterprises and service providers in the region are growing and becoming more sophisticated," said K.S. Parag, Director of FVC. "As these organisations invest in their infrastructures, it is becoming crucial that their network managers have access to in-depth information that will allow them to make informed decisions. Packet Design's solutions provide information that is crucial to saving time and ensuring high availability of networks in critical environments."
Packet Design has also appointed Brett Holmes as its Sales Manager for the region covering MEA & India. Holmes will be based in Dubai to provide pre-sales support to FVC, its partners and customers.
"We feel the time is right for us to build on our success in Europe and make our first foray into the Middle East, where are already seeing significant sales opportunities," remarked Steve Ruddock, Sales Director, EMEA, Packet Design. "The recent de-regulation in the region has spurred the emergence of new ISPs and mobile operators that are key markets for our solutions. We are very pleased to be working with FVC, which has a clear understanding of both the enterprise and service provider arenas and has established an effective channel network to support our products across the region."
