Dubai - Pacific Control Systems, a total automation solutions provider with operations around the world, today announced the launch of two automation solutions engineered for increasing the Sustainable Development features of commercial and residential buildings. The Green Building System (GBS) and Green Home System (GHS) will facilitate opportunities for acquiring substantial number of points required for Green Building/Home Certification, using converged IP technology.
GBS and GHS have been launched to enable developers, owners and occupiers to implement the The 2008 Green Building directive of Dubai. The Solutions from Pacific Controls delivers state of the art technology that integrates and manages all the electromechanical equipments and devises in a building and a home to function seamlessly and establish a low carbon footprint.
Announcing the of GBS and GHS, Mr Dilip Rahulan, Chairman and CEO, Pacific Controls, said, "Both these products have been developed in line with our commitment to the UAE government's drive towards achieving sustainable development in the region. The Green Building System (GBS) is created out of the convergence of IT network and building automation system facilitating opportunities for acquiring substantial number of points required for Green Building Certification, managing alternative energy generation including continuous commissioning, measurement and verification as per international guidelines for Green Building Certification and Carbon footprint Verification.
The Green Home System (GHS) is a totally integrated future ready home automation solution that addresses the home automation requirements from the internet connectivity in the home all the way to the evolution of a Sustainable Green Home. The system will provide for: firewalls, UTM, wifi network, router, security system, energy management system, energy metering, air conditioning controls, air quality monitoring, humidity control, A/C filter monitoring, lighting control system, seamless integration to home entertainment system, Home theater, CCTV cameras, access control systems, motion senor in the common areas for energy savings, fire alarm system, kitchen exhaust system monitoring ,Bathroom humidity control, CO2 monitoring in the garage, water leak detection system, swimming pool PH value monitoring, pump run hours monitoring, water tank level monitoring, home elevator alarm, monitoring system, main circuit breaker monitoring, mini wind turbine generation monitoring, solar PV generation monitoring, solar hot water system monitoring, and energy foot print monitoring for the home. All out of a single box.
Mr Rahulan further added, "Both GBS and GHS are benchmarked to deliver Green Certification and Carbon Credit assessment requirements. The system is designed to deliver all key pre-requisites necessary for certification and continuous measurement and verification as per international green building certification bodies."
Located at Techno Park, Dubai, the headquarters of Pacific Controls , Middle East's first Platinum rated green building accredited by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) pogramme and sixteenth in the world was inaugurated recently.
The award winning headquarter building has achieved Platinum LEED NC certification from the USGBC, achieving a total of 55 points, and the first ever accrued to date for any newly constructed building in the Middle East seeking such a certification. The stunning campus has already won two international awards in 2007: Extreme Office Building in the world "Digie Award" against Taipei 101 and Shaghai Financial Centre; Best Intelligent Building in the World in Chicago 2007.
