Dubai: -  Operations at global marine terminal operator DP World's flagship Jebel Ali terminal are returning to normal following a fire at a warehouse in the adjoining free zone.

The fire broke out during the night.  No casualities have been reported.

As a safety precaution, DP World stopped operations at Jebel Ali Terminal One, Terminal Two and its General Cargo facility and evacuated workers in the path of smoke while it was analysed.  It has proven to be non-toxic and work resumed at the port early this afternoon.

Customers have been kept informed throughout the incident, but the stoppage has had no significant impact on the loading and unloading of cargo at the port.
