Leading office supplier opens new store in Abu Dhabi

Dubai, UAE, February 7, 2006: Total Office Solution Provider OFIS has strengthened its presence in the UAE commercial office sector by opening its first outlet in Abu Dhabi. OFIS already runs a showroom in Dubai.

The new showroom was inaugurated by Maryam Al Gurg, Director and S.B. Jeyaseelan, Group General Manager of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg group. Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg group was also present at the launch. 

"In keeping with the growing demand in Abu Dhabi, we are expanding our services to clients and extending our product range of high quality furniture," said Dayal. 

It is estimated that approximately 500,000 m 2  of office space will be added to the Abu Dhabi market between 2007 and 2011.[1] 

"OFIS has been in the business in the UAE for close to two decades and we are confident of repeating Dubai success in the UAE's capital," Dayal added.

The 2,200 sq ft showroom enjoys a prominent location at the ABN Amro Building at the junction of Abu Dhabi's Salaam Street and Hamdan Street. The launch of the latest outlet is in line with OFIS's strategy to strengthen its presence in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates as well as satisfy the market demand for top quality office solutions.

"The unprecedented economic growth experienced by the UAE market in the past two years has led to a steep rise in demand for office space, and this has further triggered demand for office furniture requirements," said Dayal.

Since the beginning of 2006, OFIS has introduced several new lines of office furniture and flooring solutions across the region. All brands under OFIS include state-of-the-art, innovative solutions for offices which emphasise on ergonomics and functionality.

Following in the footsteps of the OFIS showroom in Dubai, the new Abu Dhabi based outlet will feature the entire OFIS product line of ergonomic and functional furniture and flooring.

The existing OFIS portfolio includes well-known international furniture brands such as Wilkhahn, DVO, Dauphin, Marko, Kembo, Aresline, Parador, and Benel. Its flooring division includes the Parador laminated and solid wood flooring brand Bentley Prince Street and Beaulieu of America.
