The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of equipment to the offshore energy industry, has launched a new company in the Middle East.Ferguson Middle East FZE, based in UAE, has been formed to support the Group's growing range of offshore containers, accommodation modules, workspace modules and refrigerated containers.
Steven Ferguson, Chairman and CEO of the Ferguson Group, said: "I am very pleased to announce the formation of Ferguson Middle East based in Dubai, UAE, a move which plays an important role in the continued expansion of the Group's international reach.
"In the past few years we have enjoyed tremendous growth in the Middle East, so having our own company based in the region will help even further as we internationalise our product offering. Ferguson Middle East will offer the same high quality products, short lead times and first class customer support that our clients receive from the Group as a whole."
The new company will be based in the Jebel Ali Freezone in Dubai, one of the area's key business centres. The office is based near to Ferguson's port and yard, where containers are stored and will allow the team to be on hand to support and assist clients.
Mogens Thyssen, Country Manager for Ferguson Middle East, said: "We have been working in Dubai for over 12 months now in preparation for launching the new company and I am delighted that we are now registered and operational.
"This is an exciting time for Ferguson Group and having this new office in Dubai means that we are on-hand to provide local support to our oil and gas clients."
The Ferguson Group employs more than 170 people worldwide through its existing companies - Ferguson Modular, Ferguson Seacabs and IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore - that serve the offshore container rental and accommodation modules markets. The Group, based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, has operations in all major global oil and gas locations.

IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore's global fleet of refrigerated containers are offered in sizes from 2.5 metre to 6.0 metre units providing refrigeration and freezing solutions for offshore food transportation and storage.
