Dubai: Thirteen leading entities have been confirmed as ‘Official Sponsors’ for the 2017 Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). Providing vital support to help stage a sensational 14th edition this December. This year’s local and international sponsors include: luxury car manufacturer BMW; Dubai Airports; media outlets ARN, CNN, ZEE TV, Gulf News, OSN and Sky News Arabia; marketing and advertising agencies Publinet and Hills Advertising; popular global cosmetics company Make Up For Ever; Twitter; and evian.
Due to the tremendous contributions of its sponsors, DIFF continues to shine from one edition to the next, and has set Dubai as a firm fixture on the global festival calendar. A key sponsor since the Festival’s inception, Dubai Airports will once again welcome international visitors to the metropolitan city with their renowned Emirati hospitality. Luxury car manufacturer BMW will continue its vital support for a seventh year and supply stars with luxurious transportation to a variety of exclusive events during the Festival’s eight-day programme.
Sharing all the glitz and glamour from the red carpet and industry events, global audiences will get the latest Festival news through prestigious news network CNN, alongside the region’s leading pay-TV network OSN, Arabic news and current affairs channel Sky News Arabia, as well as ZEE TV, the popular South Asian media and entertainment company. More than three million daily listeners will get front-row access to each day of the 14th edition through ARN’s nine radio stations, whilst leading outlet Gulf News will continue to keep the local community up to date with the latest information.
Allowing film lovers and fans to share unforgettable Festival moments, global social media platform Twitter renews its partnership with DIFF for the second year. From live on-ground coverage, including celebrity Q+As and behind-the-scenes access, to fan reactions at world premieres and industry discussions at the Dubai Film Market, Twitter will bring cinephiles from around the globe together to celebrate the magic of cinema.
DIFF is a time to celebrate the best of Dubai across the UAE community and the crucial support of Hills Advertising, recognised as one of the Middle East’s premiere outdoor advertising organizations, alongside Publinet, an industry pioneer comprised of a locally grown network of communication specialists, will help raise awareness of the 14th edition and its striking lineup of the best in film from local, regional and international talent.
The official makeup partner for the fourth consecutive year, Make Up For Ever will be working tirelessly behind the scenes during the 14th edition. As a distinguished brand for makeup artists and the brand to suit every style, Make Up For Ever helps ensure the glamour and magic of the red carpet remains flawless throughout the Festival.
Joining the Official Sponsors lineup for the first time is natural mineral water company, evian. Understanding that the bright lights and high energy of a Festival night can dehydrate even the most seasoned of stars, evian is committed to ensuring every festivalgoer has access to pure and refreshing water across the eight-day event.
Abdulhamid Juma, Chairman, Dubai International Film Festival, commented on the generosity of DIFF’s official sponsors and its impact on the growth of the Festival: “Over the past 14 years, DIFF has built a reputation as a must-attend festival on the global cinematic calendar; a feat we would not have been able to accomplish without the vital role played by our official sponsors. Their support has helped us flourish as a Festival and has had a significant impact on the growth of the region’s thriving film industry. As we look to December, we are excited to share another exceptional Festival edition with established and first-time partners.”
The 14th edition of DIFF will see films screened over eight days at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena, Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah and VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates and THE BEACH – opposite JBR.
