In an effort to combine existing and new businesses under one umbrella, Al-Yaqout Group launched Al-Yaqout Holding Company KSCC at a formal event, held at Holiday Inn, Kuwait.
Al-Yaqout Holding Company has been created to derive synergies between existing businesses and align them with a strategy for future growth. Additionally, the Group will implement world-class systems and processes across the businesses.
Last year, the board undertook major initiatives to rebuild the organization through senior management appointments, opening a group office in Dubai, acquisition of Azure Global Foods LLC -Dubai and creation of new business units in FMCG Distribution and Retail Electronics.
The launch event featured presentations from Mr. Omar Al-Yaqout - Group Chairman, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Yaqout - Group Vice Chairman, Mr. Shahid Khan - Group CEO and Mr. Mohib Ali - Group CFO. This was followed by presentations from the Business and Function Heads who outlined their respective strategies for business growth.
Al-Yaqout Group has been operational since 1954 across a range of industries including Electronics, Office Furniture and Equipment, Manufacturing of Beverages and Plastics, FMCG Distribution and Interior Design.
Mr. Shahid Khan, Group CEO said: We had a very productive year in 2015 in terms of implementing key changes and building resources for the business. With the launch of Al-Yaqout Holding Company, we are confident that we can bring all business units together and align the teams to ensure continued growth across our divisions in 2016 and beyond."
Mr. Shahid Khan also emphasized the Group's vision: "To be a leading regional family business that all stakeholders are truly proud of as well as its corporate values.
