The participation aimed to promote upcoming HIVE event; the First International Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer Conference (ORAT).

OAMC delegation received strong interest from international participants for ORAT conference to be held during 25-26 March 2015 in Muscat.

OAMC participation at the Expo played a role in promoting the HIVE as one of the prominent global conferences for the aviation industry being the first international conference to focus on operational readiness and airport transfer.

Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) recently took part in the 'Passenger Terminal Expo 2015', held in Paris, France 10-12 March 2015. Representing Oman, the delegation from OAMC took the opportunity to promote the upcoming HIVE event to conference attendees, which comprised aviation and airports management professionals from around the world. The First International Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer Conference "The HIVE" is set to be held 25-26 March in Muscat.  

The Passenger Terminal Expo Paris 2015 is one of the largest global events in the aviation and airports management industry. The conference and exhibition attracts professionals from airports, airlines, authorities, regulators and government teams as well as their consultants, architects and suppliers for every area of the passenger terminal industry. Passenger Terminal Expo Paris 2015 attracted over 4,500 visitors and witnessed participation of 1,350 conference attendees, including CEOs and General Managers, who represent more than 180 aircraft industry related organisations, in addition to more than 300 expert speakers in the accompanying conference.

D. Khalfan bin Said Al-Shueili, General Manager of Readiness presided the OAMC delegation at the conference. Present also from OAMC was D. Moaman bin Mohammed Al-Busaidi, General Manager of Communication and Information Technology, Mr. Lee Ebbut - Readiness Manager IT Systems, Mahmood Redha Al Lawati - Senior Airfield Operations Officer, Malik Hamed Al Habsi - Airport Systems Engineer, and Ashraf Sultan Al Mahrouqi - Coordination and Follow-up Specialist.

Through its participation in Passenger Terminal Expo 2015, OAMC was successful in achieving its goals which were focused on strengthening channels of communication and relationships with international airport operators, specialized companies in providing airport management services and equipment, and to market the upcoming ORAT conference.

Commenting on the participation D. Khalfan bin Said Al-Shueili noted, "Our participation in the exhibition is part of our marketing plan for the ORAT conference to be held in March. Passenger Terminal Expo Paris 2015, which was the final stage in our promotional campaign of the conference, attracts key aviation industry representatives who gather from all around the world to this large annual event in Paris. We have seen great interest from the participants visiting our corner to know more about the conference, the first of its kind globally making it as one of the prominent global events in the aviation sector for 2015."

OAMC corner at the Passenger Terminal Expo Paris 2015 attracted a number of prominent figures from airports, airlines and other aviation companies from around the world, who expressed their eagerness to participate in the first International 'Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer' conference, titled 'The HIVE'.

The conference which is set to be held on 25-26 March at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort in Muscat aims to achieve a number of goals including building and activating the channels of communication between experts and specialists in the field of airport management with a focus on successful operation of the new airports, discussing and sharing ORAT concepts and methodologies through bringing together key organizations from across the world. In addition to sharing the experience of world and regional airports and consultants who have recently been involved in opening new airport infrastructure, discussing the challenges of operating new airports in phases and to develop new concepts and methodologies of the readiness through placing unified global standards for operational readiness and airport transfer.

In addition to global participants, the 'HIVE' will also see participation from local bodies including Ministry of Transport and Communications, Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Royal Oman Police, Oman Air, main contractors, commercial partners, suppliers and contractors, the Ministry of Tourism, travel and tourism agencies, hotels, aviation companies in Oman will also participate as they are linked directly to the civil aviation field.

The 'HIVE' will also witness participation from CEOs, and senior management of Gulf and Middle East Airports, CEOs, and senior management of International Airports, representatives of International Civil Aviation Organization, International Air Transport Association, Airports Council International, Arab and global aviation organizations, senior management representatives of Civil Aviation Authorities, operation readiness consultants and global aviation companies.

Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al-Shueili added, "Experts of Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer coming from some of the most important airports in the world will gather in Muscat to share their experience and knowledge. We are confident that the benefits will be reflected across many fields and disciplines. Additionally, Muscat will be highlighted as one of the prominent destinations for hosting such international conferences."
