Algerian Ministry of Education launches two new NVIDIA configurations for its "home PC for school students" scheme

ALGERIA: NVIDIA today announced that its GeForce chipsets have been selected by the Ministry of Education in Algeria for its new scheme of providing home PCs for its school-going students in easy, affordable installments. The two types of PCs are aimed at elementary school level students with NVIDIA's entry level GeForce 210, 1Gb chipsets and the second is a more powerful machine for high school students with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 610 2Gb chipsets.

The project is being tested in Algeria and 14,000 units have already been delivered. As part of the Ministry's visionary program to support students in accessing world-class technology, NVIDIA's GeForce chipsets were selected for their high performance and superior visual experience. The PCs will be assembled in Algeria with internationally acclaimed components including NVIDIA and delivered locally on demand. The Ministry hopes to provide equipment to more than two million students across the country.
