Advanced Diagnostic Technologies and SABER Product Engineering Services Provide New Flip-Chip Validation Solution
SAN JOSE - NPTest, the wholly owned subsidiary of Schlumberger Limited formerly known as Schlumberger Semiconductor Solutions, highlights its unique combination of IC validation, characterization and test products and services for fabless companies in Booth #120 at the Fabless Semiconductor Association Supplier's Expo. The NPTest exhibit underscores NPTest core competencies enabling them to negotiate the complex "Path to Production" and marks the trade show debut of the company as NPTest. The Supplier's Expo is October 3rd at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
NPTest advanced validation and characterization technologies and high performance SOC test systems complement SABER product engineering services in helping fabless companies successfully complete the important steps between first silicon and design win, then onto high volume manufacturing. The NPTest offerings are designed to facilitate the design cycle, shorten device validation time, accelerate first customer ship, and provide manufacturing at low cost.
One focus of the NPTest exhibit is a complete solution for flip-chip validation. NPTest offers the unique and market-leading optical measurement tools needed to gather critical timing measurements on flip-chips. More importantly, NPTest combines the technologies with SABER product engineering expertise to provide valuable analysis services to fabless companies. Until now, only the large IC manufacturers had access to these technologies. Complementing flip-chip performance analysis, NPTest offers backside, through-silicon circuit editing tools and services to modify circuits before wafer re-spin, accelerating development of working prototypes.
NPTest provides high performance test systems with the flexibility to meet the demands of an increasing number of today's SOCs. The NPTest exhibit will showcase the powerful EXA3000 SOC test system and new options that expand digital and analog performance to meet the highest demands of characterization and production test in a single platform. With performance options ranging from 400 Mbps to 3.2Gbps, 1024 pins, and 16 analog channels, the EXA3000 is the ideal single platform for testing SOCs in consumer, computer and communications applications. Available options include differential timing flexibility in multiple time domains for advanced bus protocols. Test system access in Silicon Valley aids test program development and accelerates deployment in the major test houses in Asia where the EXA3000 is a preferred platform.
