New Xerox Multifunction Printer Series Offers More Choice for Professional-Quality Color Output

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 13May 2009 - Xerox the leading document management technology and services enterprise today launched the new series of multifunction printers Xerox WorkCentre^® 7400 series delivers top-notch color quality along with features that help save on costs, energy consumption and space.

The series, which includes the WorkCentre 7425/7428/7435, offers scan to e-mail, fax and PDF as well as 1200 x 2400 dpi image quality. Using Xerox's Emulsion Aggregate High Grade (EA-HG) toner, which has smaller, more consistent toner particles, the MFPs deliver vivid output with sharper image quality and smoother lines. Additional productivity features on the WorkCentre 7400 series include Print Around, ensuring that, if one job is held up due to a lack of resources, other jobs will continue to print, keeping busy work groups on task.

The WorkCentre 7400 series offers several built-in tools such as Auditron and Xerox Standard Accounting, which regulate and track color usage, giving users the ability to manage costs by choosing when, where and how much color they need.

With print and copy speeds up to 35 pages per minute for color and black-and-white, total paper capacity of more than 5,000 sheets, and finishing capabilities like booklet making and hole punching, the WorkCentre 7400 series gives users all of the tools they need in busy work environments. Equipped with Xerox's Extensible Interface Platform™ (EIP), independent software vendors and developers can create customized applications that are readily accessible from the large user interface, saving users valuable time and simplifying reoccurring tasks.

Energy Star compliant, the WorkCentre series only consumes 2 watts of power at sleep mode, which is significantly less than most color laser products. The MFPs are also the first devices of their type to incorporate biomass plastic, which produces 16 percent fewer CO2 emissions during manufacturing.

The WorkCentre 7400 Series is available immediately in UAE for US$9150 through Xerox distributors.
