Composable Ring Tunes, Downloadable Themes, Chat Messaging and Fully Customizable Exterior Turn Motorola C330 into a Truly Personalized Mobile Phone

Motorola will introduce this month the new Motorola C330 -- the latest addition to its new design-centric portfolio of handsets tailored to enhance the consumer experience.

The C330 take personalization to a new level, with customizable front and back exterior covers users can have a different phone everyday. Downloadable screensavers and icons, and the ability to compose one-of-a kind alerts that play true musical chords complements the personalisation.

The Motorola C330 forges into unexplored areas of personalization.   New features help users create their own individual mobile experience, tailored to their lifestyle.

“An ordinary mobile phone just doesn’t cut it with consumers.  People use handsets to express themselves and project their personalities,” said Patrick Mulligan, General Manager, Personal Communications Sector, Motorola, Middle East and North Africa.  “Increasingly, people have moved beyond using mobile phones purely as communication tools.  Motorola’s C330 acknowledges that in new and exciting ways.  A person’s look and style changes constantly, and the new model C330 can change right along with them.”

Packaging the fun, the Motorola C330 can download “themes,” including multi-instrument ring tunes, screensavers and icons.  Each theme will feature a common subject such as movies, cars, decades or seasons.  With a few simple keystrokes, users can transform their C330 from a pop music sensation complete with wallpaper, to their favourite pop diva.  The ability to customize the phone to fit any style preference continues with the optional quick-change front and back covers and rubber side grips.

The Motorola C330 is powered with new EMS 5.0 (Enhanced Messaging Service) technology that takes the instant gratification of text messaging a step further.  EMS 5.0 allows users to insert icons, pictures and music, pumping up the traditional SMS message.  Also this phone is built with a new technology that frees users from the limitations of the standard 170 characters.  Now, messages to friends and loved ones can tell the rest of the story.

Staying in the know has never been easier than with the Motorola C330 chat feature, which bounces messages back and forth using online chat names.  A personalisable shortcut menu keeps users only two clicks away from favourite features such as phonebook entries, calendar appointments and Web sites.  Playing one of the three embedded games with the Motorola C330’s 4-way navigation key takes the “down” out of downtime.
