A New School of excellence build on a reputation of success

Dubai, UAE May 21st: GEMS Education has announced it will open its fourth Wellington school in Dubai this September. The GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail, will offer the National Curriculum for England to students in the Primary Years initially, but will grow to Year 13 in the coming years.

Based on the successful Wellington schools, one of which has been rated "Outstanding" by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) for the last 3/4 years, GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail will provide students with vibrant, inclusive and creative learning environments that encourage challenge, curiosity and choice.

Brett Larsen, Principal of GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail is excited about the opening and emphasizes that the students' learning and attainment will be the focus of the Academy. With over 20 years of experience in Education, Brett leaves GEMS Jumeirah Primary School, where he was Deputy Head Teacher, to become the founding Principal of GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail.

GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail will offer scholarships across a range of disciplines including Sports, Art, Music and Academics.

GEMS International School-Al Khail

GEMS International School-Al Khail, is also scheduled to open in September, and will offer the International Baccalaureate programme, further expanding the GEMS network of IB schools in the UAE. GEMS International School-Al Khail will provide students with an

outstanding international education from KG to grade 5 in the first year of operation.

The purpose built fully equipped campus will feature specialist teaching and language rooms, anddedicated study spaces for IB Diploma students.

In the last academic year, GEMS British curriculum schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi achieved results that were 20 percentage points higher than the average student in England.
