N.Bar, the Middle East's first chain of nail treatment bars, celebrates its sixth birthday in March.
N.Bar was conceived in 1999 by founder and CEO, Negin Fattahi-Dasmal. Recognising that nail care in the region was an overlooked side service in beauty salons, she was inspired to transform this auxiliary service into a unique experience of dedicated nail care for Middle Eastern women. After two years of intensive and rigorous research, her 'fast glamour for nails' concept was successfully established at Palm Strip Mall in March, 2001.
Opening its doors with just three nail specialists, N.Bar has grown phenomenally and now falls under the portfolio of The Grooming Company, parent company of the Middle East's premier grooming concepts. Today, N.Bar operates eight branches, employs over 200 highly-trained, dedicated nail professionals and has earned a series of prestigious awards and accolades, including its recent win in the Gel Master Category of the 2006 Middle East Nail Competition. This milestone has subsequently resulted in N.Bar's invitation to compete in a global arena at the 2007 Messe International Beauty Competition in Germany, an event eagerly anticipated by both management and staff.
These achievements, garnered over the last six years, are a direct result of Negin's uncompromising attitude to quality, and her firm belief that every branch should adhere to the same resolute principles; superior services, highly-trained technicians, the strictest standards of clinical hygiene and the use of high-end products.
Following fast in N.Bar's footsteps are its two groundbreaking siblings; 1847, the region's first executive grooming lounge for men, and JetSet, a unique 'wash and blow dry' hair care concept. These two brands are rapidly achieving the growth, success and devoted following that N.Bar has realized in such a short time.

One such affiliation is with the Chalhoub Group, owners of the beauty store Faces, which has enthusiastically welcomed N.Bar into its stores. Through The Grooming Company's distribution arm, WellBe, Negin has built a solid business relationship with the founder, Essie Weingarten, and together they have introduced women across the Middle East to an exceptional range of quality nail care and cosmetic products.
