Nakheel, the world's largest privately held real estate developers, and Bharat Hotels Ltd, owners of 'The Grand' group of hotels, have announced a joint venture to develop the India based company's first international hotel.
The AED 350 million 'The Grand Fort Dubai' will be positioned at an elevated location in Jebel Ali offering stunning panoramic views of new Dubai. The luxury hotel and spa retreat will be in close proximity to The Gardens, Ibn Battuta Mall to the west, the proposed Jebel Ali airport to the east, and Jebel Ali port to the south.
Nakheel will lead the construction and development of the project, with Bharat Hotels creating the design and concept, as well as managing the hotel operations. Bharat Hotels, head-quartered in New Delhi, is one of India's leading hotel companies offering 14 luxurious hotels with more than 3,000 rooms in the five star deluxe segment.
The 234 room super luxury resort will be architecturally inspired by the majestic forts of Rajasthan in India. All facilities and services will incorporate the very latest in hospitality concepts and technology - enhanced by subtle touches of India.
Another unique aspect of the hotel will be the holistic spa, which will include a wellness center. Here, ancient Indian therapies such as ayurvedic massages and herbal treatments will complement state-of-the-art facilities.
Treatments will include rejuvenation, body sculpting, fitness, nutrition and beauty therapies. In addition, the hotel will be fronted by a stunning reflection pool and will feature a high-end shopping arcade, restaurants, banquet/conference rooms and rooftop view terraces.
Chris O'Donnell, CEO Nakheel, said:
