Bahrain Air reveals its expansions in its network

Manama - Bahrain 21 April 09: Bahrain Air, a private national carrier located in Bahrain and the first Premium service carrier with affordable fares, operating within MENA countries and to the Indian Sub-Continent, reveals its expansion plans in the Indian Sub-Continent and started the preparations of launching its third destination Mumbai in the Indian Sub-Continent. The Bahrain - Mumbai service will commence on July 2009 with daily nonstop flights to meet Bahrain Air's increased customer demand.

"We are excited about extending our Indian route network to include nonstop service to Mumbai," said Mr. BK Majmudar Bahrain Air's Director Commercial Operations & Corporate Planning. "Mumbai is one of the largest markets and offers significant opportunities for growth in the future", furthermore he added in this regards, "With the ongoing expansion witnessed in our network to reach more destinations to serve our loyal passengers, Bahrain Air would become the logical choice for customers flying for leisure or business."We are going to put all our effort in every way to try to boost the existence of Bahrain Air in the Indian Sub-Continent" Mr. BK concluded.

Flight 2B517 will operate to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) with daily flight; departing Bahrain International Airport at 23:00 and arriving 04:40 at Mumbai, Flight 2B518 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) at 05:30 arriving Bahrain at 06:50, all flights are subject to governmental approval.

To commence this route Bahrain Air will use a Airbus 320 / 319 aircraft which will carry 162 / 132 passengers in both Business Premium Class and Economy, along with offering extraordinary levels of comfort.

Bahrain Air has already marked itself as a well-built brand in the congested competitive Gulf-India sector in a relatively short period of time, on account of the affordable fares, varieties in-flight entertainment options, and the opportunity to select and buy from a wide choice of duty free items.

Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is the business and entertainment capital of India and its most populous city, with an estimated population of 13 million (25 million in the greater metropolitan area). Many financial institutions and corporations have their headquarters in Mumbai, which is also home to the world-famous Bollywood film and television industry.
