14 June 2006
The 1st Arabic Open Seminar on "Successfully Trading the Global FOREX Markets" was held yesterday (13 June, 2006) by M.T.I.'s (Market Traders Institute) Middle East office, at Knowledge Village, Dubai, as part of M.T.I.'s ongoing 12th Anniversary celebrations. The seminar attendees comprised of a majority of U.A.E. nationals, pan-Arabs and a few participants who had come in from Oman. Talal Al Sabiri, M.T.I.'s Head of Arabic Training & an U.A.E. national himself, was the main speaker at the event.  The seminar covered a range of trading topics, starting with the basics of understanding the FOREX (Foreign Currency Exchange) market to trading methodologies, predictive indicators and risk - reward management. MTI, the world's largest & oldest FOREX training institute with training centers worldwide, focuses on teaching traders technical analysis along with reading charts on their proprietary chart analysis software. The seminar also covered a little on managing risk in the markets, a comparison between the FOREX market & the stock markets, a few trading strategies, candle stick patterns and Fibonacci retracements & extensions.

"Many traders in the Middle East tend to trade the financial markets by depending on brokers to guide them. This can be dangerous because the trader blindly follows them & often ends up in financial disaster. Education is the need of the hour, especially now since the Middle East financial markets are seeing so much participation from the nationals themselves" said Al Sabiri during the course of the seminar. "Learning to trade correctly is like finding a map to a gold mine - you know where the gold is and with education, you know how to mine that gold" he added.

"We felt the need to host this seminar in Arabic because at present, most of the information available about the FOREX market is available only in English. Being in the Middle East, we felt we owed it to the Arab population to have a seminar in their native tongue" said Neil Pereira, Manager Business Development of the Middle East Region, who was the opening speaker at the seminar. After a brief history about MTI and its 12 year FOREX training history he mentioned a few words about M.T.I.'s Founder & President Jared Martinez whose "passion for trading the FOREX market & mentoring other traders eventually led to the founding of M.T.I. in 1994". He added "It is this passion for the FOREX along with his 20 plus years of trading expertise that has made M.T.I. not just the oldest but also the world's largest FOREX training institute".

Al Sabiri concluded the seminar with a brief Q & A session and added that "...plans to hold regular seminars are in the pipeline". All attendees received a complimentary FOREX start-up kit from M.T.I.
