For the first time in the Middle East Malaysia's leading Battery Management System and energy cells Research Company unveils intelligent battery system to keep your energy levels up all day, every day

Dubai, UAE. 21st  October, 2008 - In another sign of Malaysia's lead in the technology sector at Gitex 2008, ETI TECH will unveil its latest innovations in the energy storage industry. A pioneer in polymer lithium-ion based energy storage manufacturer, ETI TECH has developed the latest innovations in mobile chargers for portable electronic devices operating on everything from 5 Volts, such as mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs, MP3, MP4, game console and notebook computers, to 240 Volt applications such as lamps, fan, TV and radios.

Utilizing Battery Management Systems based on lithium-ion technology, a rechargeable battery which has the best energy-to-weight ratios, and slow loss of charge when not in use, ETI TECH's solutions have been designed to meet the demanding requirements of today's business travelers and executives and life style.

"There's no use in carrying around all of that vital business equipment, the laptops and the phones, if they don't have any juice left. What we at ETI TECH have managed to do is to take our extensive research and development into the area of intelligent battery management solutions to deliver what we believe is the most reliable, most cost effective battery technology in the market today to keep you on your toes and powered up no matter how long your day has been," said Dennis Chuah, Director, ETI TECH.

Designed to fit into your pocket, ETI TECH's most recent solution is the Nano Mobile Charger with LED torch light and laser pointer build-in. A true plug and play device, the Nano Mobile Charger can be recharged from a USB port more than 500 times during one lifecycle and can be used to charge a mobile phone up to full strength multiple times in a day. The Mobile Charger comes with three different models for you to choose according to your requirement.

"Polymer li-ion batteries are lighter than other equivalent secondary batteries -- often much lighter. This technology does not suffer from the memory effect, in that they lose charge quickly after being repeatedly recharged. They also have a low self-discharge rate, and they can be shaped to form much smaller sizes than traditional batteries can. In sum, polymer lithium-ion based energy cells are the only answer for consumers who require powerful, yet slim, batteries on the go," added Chuah.

The mobile battery solutions also come with an optional solar charger that can be used to restore the power of the mobile battery charger. According to Chuah, such devices are ideally suited to the Middle East's climactic conditions: "Not only you can save on your energy bills, but our innovations are also eco-friendly."

ETI TECH will also introduce Green GenSet. It is a battery base power generator set. It gives power anywhere, anytime, is portable, and weighs only 2.2kg. Green GenSet provides 180Wh energy with 240V power output. Green GenSet is environment friendly, produces no noise, no CO2, and no pollution whatsoever.

The primary application for this product is to provide light to the rural area which has a limited power access. When used in combination with "Energy Saving" lamps, the cost savings are considerable. Possible users include outdoor activities (BBQ, camping, etc), emergency lights, small tools, and notebook charging.

The Green GenSet can be recharged via solar power or from the electricity grid. It will automatically switch off when the battery is fully charged or when it reaches a low level and can be re-charged within 6 hours.

The main advantages of the Green GenSet include its light weight, compact size, zero air pollution, "plug and play" usage, very low running costs, and low investment costs.

With a range of mobile power solutions, ETI TECH is also on the lookout for distributors in the consumer electronics space who understand the region's rapidly changing retail industry.

"Up until very recently, these types of solutions were not available to the public, and there is still some way to go before they understand the full potential of these solutions. What we'd like to do is to partner with companies who share a similar vision to work towards educating both retailers and consumers as to the technology and the potential of cross selling to two huge end user bases - mobile phone owners and laptop users," concluded Chuah.
