Middle East Consumers Get First Look at Motorola ROKR E1 At New MacStore Apple Center

Dubai - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) and Apple have announced the availability of the world's first mobile phone with iTunes, enabling music lovers in the Middle East to transfer up to 50 of their favorite songs from the iTunes jukebox on their Mac or PC to their mobile phone.

Regional consumers at the launch of the MacStore Apple Center grand opening in Ibn Battuta Mall today were the first in the Middle East to experience the ROKR E1 firsthand.  Motorola anticipates regional availability of the ROKR E1 within the next month.

The Motorola ROKR E1 features easy to use menus, simple navigation and playback, and the ability to simply switch from listening to music to talking on the phone and back again with the push of a dedicated music key.

"The Middle East is an incredibly music-centric market, and the Motorola ROKR represents the ultimate convergence of mobile communications and music," said Patrick Mulligan, Area Director for Motorolas Mobile Devices Business.

"By fusing iTunes with the omnipresent mobile phone, we're revolutionizing the way that Middle East consumers experience mobile self-expression and entertainment."

The Motorola ROKR E1 features a color display for viewing album art, dual built-in stereo speakers and stereo headphones that also serve as a mobile headset with microphone. Music fans can randomly autofill or manually fill the mobile phone with playlists of their favorite music, audiobooks and Podcasts from their iTunes library via a USB connection. The Motorola ROKR E1 pauses music automatically when users take a call and offers the ability to listen to music while checking messages or snapping a photo.
