Manama, Bahrain: 30 May 2012:  MODA Mall, the Kingdom's ultra-exclusive shopping destination, located on the ground floor of the Bahrain World Trade Center, recently hosted the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) networking event held at Awali Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel. Members and industry professionals attended the meeting to discuss, network and exchange creative ideas to bolster MECSC as a catalyst in the development of the shopping centre industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

During the meeting, Dr. Maher Al Shaer, Director of Membership and Business Development at MECSC delivered a brief presentation highlighting the role of MECSC and the support it can provide to the industry professionals.  In addition, members had the opportunity to network with their peers and other industrial professionals based in Bahrain. 

MECSC is a regional body established in 1994, representing the shopping centre industry in the Middle East and North Africa.  The organisation aims to represent, promote and develop the shopping centre industry in the MENA region by providing a number of programs and services, which include educational and professional development programs, professional recognition and certification, providing networking opportunities as well as providing a forum for the industry. MECSC provides unparalleled local and international business contacts and support through its wide network of international affiliates.
