Engineer Khalid bin Omar Al kaf MD and CEO of Mobily said that the company is the most important player in the communication and information technology sector and he expected this sector to contribute strongly in the company's revenues.
This took place during the sidelines of Euromoney Conference 2014, that was held in Al Faysalia hotel in Riyadh in the presence of a number of visitors and high rank officials from both governmental and private sectors.
Engineer Al Kaf added that Mobily is interested in the services of the business sector, where the company focuses mainly on three sectors: health, education and the financial sector, and he stressed that the financial sector can make the best utilization of information technology services when focusing on three factors: firstly is the widespread of smart devices which provides easy access to the internet from anywhere, secondly the cloud computing services with its big flexibility, and last is (M2M) device to device services which will see a rise in demand during the forthcoming period.
Engineer Al Kaf discussed also the importance of cloud computing services that provide great flexibility to subscribers as well as for us as a service provider, as it ensures the service provider to make the most of the infrastructure. It also provides a cost saving for subscribers in addition to its flexibility. Engineer Al Kaf sent a reassurance message about the safety of data being hosted through cloud computing, as Mobily owns several data centers spread around the Kingdom, and it include information security centers that are certified from Uptime institute, which means that all data ia hosted per international standards.
Engineer Al Kaf noted that Mobily does not accept but to offer the business sector a global-class services. Therefore Mobily entered into several partnerships with many of the world's reputable companies such as IBM, Cisco and Virtustream.
The conference is rich with participations and work sessions and attended by high level government officials. Mobily participates in the activities of the conference as "an exclusive communication partner" for the fifth consecutive year.
