FranklinCovey Middle East, provided world-renowned training
Dubai, UAE - 11 October 2007: The Ministry of Labor has concluded training courses for its Second-Tier Leaders Development Program conducted under a memorandum of understanding with FranklinCovey Middle East. The program is driven by the strategy of the ministry which aims to establish an institutional culture that is focused on the dissemination of the principles of distinction, innovation and quality. It also underlines the ministry's firm commitment to seek to raise the level of government performance, as well as to seek distinction in performance and solidarity for achieving its values which are based on the principles of distinction, transparency, individual and institutional integrity and civic responsibility and solidarity.
The program aims to develop leadership skills in middle management in the various departments, and to qualify an elite group of achievers as part of the occupational replacement and succession plan.
The program ran for 12 months, and it included five workshops: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and focus on prioritization, the 4 Roles of Leadership and the 4 Disciplines of Execution.
Commenting on the program, His Excellency Youssef Abdullah Abdulghani, the ministry's deputy undersecretary for administration and financial affairs, said: "The ministry believes in the principles of distinction, innovation and quality, and it has firm commitment to seek the development of government performance through programs that target middle-management employees and replacement leaderships. The ministry also believes that it is necessary to establish a base for the development of its human resources, which will help realize the ministry's vision to achieve a distinguished government institutional performance in management."
