Dubai, UAE, 12 October 2010: PlayStation celebrates today the 1st Birthday of its minis range of bite-sized, wallet-friendly games, each tailor-made for PlayStation®Portable (PSP™) and PlayStation®3 (PS3™). From 6 to 20 October, you can visit the 'Must-have' minis category on PlayStation®Store to find ten of the best, from the 100 plus minis now in store, chosen by the minis team. The selection introduces some of the most exciting studios out there including Frima with 'Young Thor', Game Atelier with 'Flying Hamster' and Mediatonic with 'Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess'.
Having already surpassed the one million download mark, minis has brought a new edge to gaming with PlayStation. Offering bite-sized, on-the-go appeal together with quick download times, minis brings plenty of choice and plenty of different games to play, making it easier and cheaper to lay your hands on your next adventure. From independent studios such as Halfbrick through to Chillingo - developers of the ever popular Angry Birds - each minis developer delivers its own distinct take on gaming to offer something for everyone. With new minis added every day and the likes of 'Angry Birds', 'Ace Armstrong vs. The Alien Scumbags' and 'Who's That Flying!? all coming soon, there has never been a better time to start a collection.
