V-Alliance will help Citrix and Microsoft MEA partners to realise tools, expertise and best practices in the virtualization environment
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 18 October, 2010 » Citrix Systems, Inc., the leading provider of virtual computing solutions that help companies deliver IT as an on-demand service and Microsoft, the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions, announced today at GITEX Technology week their plan for an expanded regional partnership across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region called V-Alliance to deliver a comprehensive set of virtualization solutions to address customers' desktop and server virtualization needs.
Microsoft and Citrix have been working together on technology for over 20 years. Now, through the V-Alliance program Microsoft and Citrix are planning to provide regional MEA partners with centralized access to collaborative sales and marketing tools, as well as content, demo resources, promotions and training offers from both companies.
The V-alliance program was originally launched in June 2009 as a German pilot and became a global initiative since July 2010. Microsoft and Citrix are now bringing the advantages of this program to channel partners and their customers in the MEA region. Antoine Aguado, Regional Director, Middle East and North Africa, Citrix Systems explains, "Following the great success achieved by V-alliance throughout Europe, we will provide our MEA partners with a similar single platform for offering proven Microsoft and Citrix joint solutions. V-alliance will clarify product information and equip the channel to deliver the kinds of virtualization solutions that benefit the regional marketplace."
