Spice things up with rhythms of the Mediterranean Fiesta!

Dubai - Mercato, the first Renaissance themed-mall, is organizing a month of events based on the Mediterranean theme. The Mediterranean Fiesta started on 11th of May and will continue till the 7th of June with more surprises. To celebrate the summer season and share the Good Life, Mercato has combined music, dance and food in the Mediterranean Fiesta concept. Mercato has planned a programme that will allow people to travel to the Mediterranean region without having to leave Dubai.

From Classical Italian Music to Flamenco rhythms, Mercato has planned exciting features every  weekend throughout the month. Music styles from the Latin Mediterranean region will be represented from Classical, Flamenco, Salsa, Tango, Chacha to Contemporary. The first weekend, Bellissima Italia, started on 11th & 12th May with a one- hour Classical concert with a pianist and charming violinists.

The second weekend goes under the name of Viva Espana, where a Latin professor, Rogelio Jose Baez Dias, will teach the audience how to follow the Latin rhythms focusing on the Spanish theme. These dance classes will take place in the Porto Vecchio Village on the 18th & 19th of May at 6:30 p.m, and will be followed by Spanish dance and Flamenco guitar concert at the fountain area.

As the third weekend starts, the mall will be holding more dance classes, again followed by a concert which will last for one hour. Club Med Europa weekend will feature Salsa, Bossa Nova and French Cancan.

During the final week, the Mediterranean Fiesta wraps up with fantastic cooking lessons for all food lovers with the participation of Mercato's restaurant chefs as well as renowned chefs based in the Middle East. Cucina Cooking Classes will take place everyday from 1st - 7th June. There will be two cooking classes everyday, each class for one hour, starting at 11:00 and 19:00, except for Friday 1st June in which classes will commence at 14:00 and 19:00. " This is a fantastic opportunity for the family to spend the weekend in an exciting and magical atmosphere, it's also a lovely chance for housewives to know more about the different ways of cooking. I believe everyone would enjoy taking part in this event" said Riham Musleh, Public Relations & Corporate Communications Manager at Mercato.

Four weeks of a Mediterranean taste at Mercato is a time to share with people, to socialize and to get tips from specialists. The Mediterranean will hold no more secrets for you!
