Receives all Jordanians for nominal fees
Amman-Jordan, 23rd May 2007: The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, St. Luke's Medical Association announced the launch of its charity clinics in Sweifiyeh, receiving all Jordanians for nominal fees.
Backed up by the latest hi-tech medical equipment, the clinics are managed and supervised by a group of a highly qualified medical team which includes skilled physicians and nurses who work on voluntary basis, offering free medical consultancy to all patients.
St. Luke's Medical Association's main mission is to contribute to the welfare of the Jordanian community as a whole by conducting various health awareness activities, and offering comprehensive medical services. In implementation of this mission the clinics have organized a number of medical lectures and public awareness campaigns such as the early cancer detection lecture held in March 2007, and the national blood donation campaign held in the occasion of World Patient Day on February 2007.
"We are honored to launch St. Luke Medical Association's clinics. Serving the Jordanian community and offering medical services and consultancy for nominal fees is our main goal. Our long term policy focuses on generating public awareness on several health-related issues, and furthermore reaching those who are in need for proper medical care," said Dr. Rajai Naffa' General Manager, St. Luke's Medical Association.
St. Luke's Medical Association's clinics offer a wide spectrum of medical and therapeutic services including general clinical check ups, treatment of common acute diseases, emergency cases, and minor operations. Additionally, the clinics conduct gynecological tests and procedures for various infections, inflammations, and tumors. The health care team offers consultancy in choosing the most suitable contraception method, and provides treatment and monitoring of gynecological and pregnancy cases.
