Muriya invited media for a firsthand look at the ongoing projects in Jebel Sifah
In a move to apprise the local media about its ongoing projects at the picture perfect locale of Jebel Sifah, Muriya organized a media visit to the site and demonstrated its commitment to turn it into a prime tourist destination in the country.
Muriya officials, including Project manager El Shazly Mohamed, Marketing Director, Bahaa Hafzallah, Marine Manager, Edward Corry, Golf Course Manager, Greg Woodhouse and Commercial Lease Senior, Rana Bou Dargham, escorted the media personnel around construction sites and briefed them about the progress achieved under its various projects. They were later met by Adil Taqi, CEO of Muriya, for a lunch at As Sammak Restaurant.
Jebel Sifah is the crowning glory in Muriya's portfolio of achievements. Its majestic natural splendor, combined with the architectural wonders incorporated by Muriya through its various projects, has turned it into a fascinating destination for visitors and tourists.
Described as a tranquil haven of relaxation, this scenic destination is fringed by sandy white beaches and turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea against a backdrop of the majestic Hajjar mountain range. Easy accessibility and close proximity to the city precincts adds to the attraction of this location, which is a mere 45km from the Muscat city. It is a perfect getaway for weekends or even longer stays.
Spread over an area of 6.2 million square meters, Jebel Sifah has a dramatic effect on visitors. The drive through the fishing village with mountains and sea in the background adds to the magic of this fascinating destination, which is expected to add a new façade for tourism in the country with the opening of its various projects.
Top on the line of projects opening this year is the Sifawy Boutique Hotel, which is set for a grand summer opening with construction activities already reaching the final stages. It is the first of the hospitality project from the Muriya stables with 55 guest rooms and 25 apartments. Relaxation is woven into the very structure of the hotel, with customized services pegged on the tastes of individual guests'.
And the Marina, which is easily one of the most important landmarks of Jebel Sifah, is expected to start welcoming boats within the next couple of months. It has a total area of over 75,000 sq m, with 12,000 sq m dry berth for boat storage. Besides, the Marina Town will have 18 apartment blocks reflecting traditional Omani architecture.
Working on the 18-hole PGA Golf Course started, which is expected to raise the bar for golfing in the country. It has already cleared Holes 10 through 18, with work currently focusing on the cut/fill for Hole 12. Holes 15-16 have been rough shaped and the Golf Course is expected to deliver some holes by this October.
Jebel Sifah's retail venue, which features a combination of essential and convenient shops, in addition to banks, pharmacy, travel offices, minimarket, entertainment and nightlife outlets, including fine dining and F&B deli, etc., is getting set with 42 of the shops currently available for rent.
With the completion of its various projects, Jebel Sifah will become the focus of all eyes, with investors and visitors frequenting the place to savour its natural bounty and luxurious offerings.
It will be home to luxurious freehold apartments and villas of diverse architecture and style, with 100% foreign ownership that entitles owners with residency in Oman.
The first handover of properties under Integrated Tourism Complex is expected to take place during the course of this year. Designed by Italian architect Alfredo Freda, Muriya's apartments feature finest modern finishing with breathtaking views of the sea and the Marina promenade.
Members of the media visited all these prestigious projects and received first hand information about the progress and various stages of developments from the officials escorting them. They were later accompanied by Muriya CEO for lunch at As Sammak restaurant, a prime seafood restaurant that's operated and managed by Muriya.
Taqi interacted with the media and answered their queries. He reiterated Muriya's stand on development of tourism within the country through projects like the Marina, Golf Course, Sifawy Boutique Hotel and other prestigious ventures like the five star hotels, freehold properties, etc., which are under progress at Jebel Sifah.
