Media and Marketing Professionals to Showcase the Paradigm Shift into Digital Media Content Conferences to discuss the Arab Media after the Arab Spring and the latest developments witnessed in governmental communications and relationships

The Media and Marketing Show 2012, the region's premier biennial and marketing event, will open its doors for media and marketing professionals from all over the Middle East region to interact with confirmed international, regional, and domestic corporate exhibitors. The MMS Show will be held under the patronage of Dubai Media City Authority and TECOM Investments Media Cluster, and with the support and attendance of His Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation and Sharjah Media Centre (SMC) on the 4th to 6th December at Hall "2" and "3" at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The three-day-event will witness daily conferences, seminars, and networking sessions that cater to the emerging needs, new challenges, and contemporary changes of each sector of the media and marketing field.
In its 7th edition, the show maintains diversity in term of its divisions, types of organizations involved whether governmental or private as well as the countries of origin the show's exhibitors are coming from to gather and network here in Dubai. The event covers the industry's key sectors which are digital media, publishing, Advertisement, Publicity, Branding, Marketing, Public Relations, news wiring, Broadcast, and all types of media Production. Media and marketing professionals are expected to showcase the latest innovations in print and broadcast media and to highlight the intensive impact of digital media on the Arab audience, especially after the latest Uprisings in the Arab region. The show will also highlight the increase interest of western media corporations in opening new offices in the region which aims to being closer to the nonstop incidents being generated in the Middle East and covering by that intensive news with higher credibility, transparency, and reliability.
Domus group, the show's organizer, announced the partnership with key media contributors including: Salon News France, The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), Media Me-Jordan, Syrian Art Production International, Palestine press agency, Al Marsad Iraqi News Agency, Al Arabiya News Channel, Al Aan TV channel, SAP Technology and mobility, Brand port for 3D graphics, Du Media for real animation, Dubai International Film Festival, Forbes ME, Al Sada Publishing house in addition to Al-Riyadh, Okaz, and Al-Jazirah Saudi Newspapers.
MMS 2012 organizers also considered partnering with government authorities such as Sharjah Media Centre (SMC) and Fujirah Culture and Media Authority (FCMA) to guarantee mutual exchange of thoughts, interests and expertise between government and experts in the field from the private sector.
Day One conference is organized by Sharjah Media Centre and titled as "Emirate of Sharjah in Media". His Excellency (H.E) Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation & Sharjah Media Centre will be the key speaker at the day one conference, and will be joined on the speakers' platform by Osama Samra- Director of SMC, and others. The conference will tackle the media progression in the emirate. It will state Sharjah new media strategy and its aims. Speakers will define the latest developments witnessed in governmental communications and relationships under one united vision. They will discuss further recent media accomplishments and future plans including the development of "Sharjah Radio" and its successes in addition to the phases of Sharjah's media industry, and the role of TV in recent times.
On Day 2, Al Arabiya News Channel will play host for a critical seminar titled as "Arab Media after the Arab Spring". The seminar is expected to be attended by Arab Media Ministers and officials from various media authorities, Arab Media pioneers including: anchors, senior journalists, authors, producers, and directors from mainly Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon and the G.C.C. Countries. Key aspects will revolve around The Future of Arab Media Ministries, the move of Arab Media into privatization, The Arab Spring between the controversy of freedom and anarchy, and the official pro-government media facing the new Digital-Private media
Day 3 will witness an announcement followed by a workshop for "Al Sada Talent Program Competition" organized by Al Sada publishing house in collaboration with World Media Academy and Domus Group. The competition is giving one of a kind chance for youth talents to show their abilities in writing and
presenting media to a specialized jury. The five best talents among all nominees will be awarded an intensive course from the World Media Academy (WMA). Also, the academy is offering a daily free English and Arabic course for MMS 2012 visitors in the Media Centre Stand. Timings are: 3-4 p.m. for Arabic course to be given by Nisreen Sadeq, the head of news sector in Al Aan TV Media Center stand. English course to be from 5-6 p.m.; the three days show is open for business and conferences daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 p.m.
