Makro to offer professional training to skilled workers in collaboration with Bosch and local authorities
Cairo, Egypt - 6 February 2012: Highlighting their ongoing commitment to the development of Egyptian professionals, Makro, today announced the launch of the Professional training sessions, which will hosted in both the Qualoubayia and Salam City stores. The training sessions which will be free for all skilled professionals including carpenters, electricians, heavy metal and wood workers, will held on two consecutive Sundays, during a 2 week exhibition focusing on Professional equipment from the 8th to the 22nd February. The free sessions which were organized in collaboration with both the Governor of Qualioubayia and Salam City will see Bosch representatives training professionals in a number of different areas, including the use of power tools, hand tools and car equipment, in addition to focusing on the importance of safety measures.
Talking about their decision to host these training sessions Managing Director of Makro Egypt, Francois Oliver said "We are delighted to be able to have this opportunity to offer more tailored services to our professional customers, e.g. skilled workers, helping tem developing their businesses. These training sessions will be crucial in introducing many Egyptian workers to new and more efficient machinery that can be used to make their jobs easier and their businesses more successful. Following the training session's attendees will receive a certificate of attendance in addition to a 5% discount on all Bosch products. In addition to the 2 training sessions for professionals, indoor displays and live demonstrations on how to use power tools will be given throughout the 2 weeks. Customers who make purchases over 400 EGP will also be offered a free car wash with a state of the art high pressure cleaner.
Expected to significantly support skilled workers in the development of their businesses, the training sessions will be crucial in raising safety standards in Egyptian workshops and is just the latest in a number of initiatives launched by Makro over the last two years, to support Egyptian professionals in raising standards of safety in the workplace.
