Flies in Guy Kremer from the UK to conduct first ever regional Master Class; launches spring-summer 2004 hair colour collection
June 6, 2004, Dubai, UAE: The latest hair colours, cuts and styles for the summer have been introduced in the UAE at the first ever regional L’Oréal Professionnel Master Class 2004 which was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Auditorium in Dubai.
L'Oréal Professionnel, the division of L'Oréal that caters specifically to professional hairdressers and stylists, flew in world renowned, award winning stylist and educator Guy Kremer from the UK to conduct the Master Class for 250 hair stylists from around the UAE.
Kremer also launched ‘Sophistic Colours’, the new 2004 spring-summer hair colour collection by L’Oréal Professionnel, at the Master Class.
The Master Class is a medium used by L'Oréal Professionnel to impart expertise to hair professionals from around the region on the newest hairstyling trends and techniques.
Step-by-step demonstration of techniques in cutting, blow drying, colouring and styling hair were demonstrated at the Master Class by Kremer on eight models with hair length varying between short, medium and long. The L’Oréal Professionnel Master Class will also be held in Kuwait on June 8 at the Al Ashemi Grand Ballroom of the Radisson SAS, for 200 hair stylists.
“L'Oréal Professionnel has always been interested in furthering the art of hairstyling. We have conducted similar seminars in Europe and the USA, and we are very pleased to host the Master Class 2004 in the Middle East for the first time. We feel it is our commitment to help bring the newest trends to the region,” said Valérie Dekière, Marketing Manager, L'Oréal Professionnel.
The new L'Oréal Professionnel spring-summer 2004 collection of hair colourations ‘Sophistic Colours’, launched and demonstrated at the Master Class, is divided into three main colour themes.
‘Pure Chic’ covers all types of pinks and is specially suited for blonde hair. ‘Aqua Chic’ has beige and shimmering pearl tones, and ‘Exo Chic’ focuses on warm shades of copper and mahogany browns for all hair types and shades.
The looks these colours can create are different in tied hairstyles and free hairstyles, and the collection can only be applied professionally. ‘Sophistic Colours’ will be available for application in all major salons across the region shortly.
English hairstylist Guy Kremer is a pioneer in his industry and was voted one of the top 75 educators of the Century by USA industry magazine Modern Salon. His impressive clientele roster includes celebrities, models, and movie stars such as the Duchess of York, Jerry Hall and Shirley Bassey.
“I am trained to interpret fashion and adapt the latest look to the individual. The Middle East is the one of the most flourishing cosmopolitan regions I have experienced, and I am thrilled to be able share the new hairstyling trends here,” said Guy Kremer.
Lancôme provided make up for the models in the Master Class and they were dressed in the latest styles of Ungaro Fuschia, les Copains, Lil and John Galliano, courtesy of Etoile and Etoile Nights Boutique in Dubai.
