Dubai, UAE: Lombard Odier, the leading global wealth and asset manager, has been recognised at the WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards for the 5th consecutive year.
The bank has been selected as the “Best Overall GCC Private Bank” and “Best UAE Private Bank - International” at the 2018 awards ceremony held in Dubai on November 7th. The prestigious awards recognise the banks ongoing efforts in specializing and expanding its offerings which cater specifically to the GCC market.
Commenting on the achievement, Christophe Lalandre, Managing Director at Lombard Odier’s Representative Office in Dubai, said, “We are honoured to have been recognised at the prestigious WealthBriefing Awards for the 5th year in a row. At Lombard Odier, we are continuing to focus on growing our presence in the GCC, and these awards serve as a testament to the hard work the bank has dedicated to better serve the region. At Lombard Odier, we are not a product seller, but a service provider and our customers are our first priority. We will continue to introduce innovate solutions which better cater to our regional customers, in line with market demands.”
With over 50 years of experience in the region, Lombard Odier continues to reinstate its commitment to the Middle East and strengthen its regional offering. In line with this, the bank launched a full suite of Shariah-compliant investment solutions earlier this year – the first in its 222-year history. Lombard Odier’s exclusive discretionary mandate was officially certified as “Shariah compliant” by the eminent Shariah Supervisory Board of Amanie Advisors.
The WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards recognise the achievements of top performing organisations and reward innovation and special offerings catered specifically to the region. The winners are selected by two panels of judges that includes bankers and advisers. The judging panel, evaluating nominee independence, integrity and genuine insight, included experts from both private banks and trusted advisors/consultants to the sector. Award categories focused around three main areas; experts (individuals and teams), products, and services for wealth managers and clients/institutions of all sizes and types.
