Under the care of Mr. Abdullah Abu Al-Basal, Lina Gas has marked two years since the launch of their innovative application. This ground breaking project uses a smartphone application to meet the need for gas cylinder delivery in Amman and other governorates. It also eliminates the challenge of hailing a gas distributer on the street, modernizing the process to meet 21st century standards.

The application was launched in May 2016, as an ambitious concept that utilizes advanced technology to provide a much-needed service. This entrepreneurial venture has become a success story and a source of inspirationfor young entrepreneurs.

Currently, Lina Gas has partnered withover 300 gas cylinder distributers. The technology will simplify the distribution of cylinders to match market demand. In the short term, Lina Gas plans to expand to all Jordanian governorates, while eventually aiming to introduce its services to other parts of the region. In addition to Amman; Lina Gas' services cover the governorates of Irbid, Zarqa, Jarash, Ajloun, Balqa and Madaba.

The initiative started with the home delivery of gas cylinders and expanded to the delivery of gas, diesel, and liquid gas cylinders, which can easily be ordered via the Lina Gas mobile app at any time of day. In addition to cash payments, Lina Gas allows for payment via credit card to better cater to the varying needs of its customers in Jordan.

Expressing his pride in Lina Gas’s achievements, Mr. Abdullah Abu Al-Basal said:“looking back at what we have managed to accomplish in these past two and a half years makes us extremely proud. From the onset, our goal was to create an app that poses as a model of success forambitious and entrepreneurial youth. We aim to use technology for the betterment of oursociety.”

“What we have achieved is only the beginning of what our team is capable of. Our ambitions lie in sustainable expansion, and building regional partnerships with various companies, which will soon be announced,” he added.

Started by two partners, Lina Gas currently employs a total of 12 people. The start-up has set an example in how entrepreneurial endeavors contribute to tackling economic challenges and empower young individuals to harness their agency by creating their own job opportunities.
