(1St Global Sales for 8 Years)
Amman, Jordan: LG Electronics (LG), a pioneer and leader in home appliance convergence as well as the world's leading air conditioner manufacturer, today introduced its new 2008 line-up of Air conditioners at Insa Art Center in Seoul, Korea.
The location was a fitting setting for the new products, as designs based on the work of six artists ranging from Vincent Van Gogh to Susi Kramer are incorporated into the front panels of the air conditioners.
LG's 2008 Air Conditioners not only have cooling, heating, air purifying and dehumidifying functions, but also give an elegant touch to home interiors. The front panels of LG's new air conditioners have three-dimensional designs that even include LED color wave mood lighting, allowing 12 different color settings. In addition, LG's "Magic Display," seamlessly built into the front panel, is visible only when the Air Conditioner turns on, merging aesthetics with convenience.
"Air Conditioners are no longer just Home Appliances, but can be elegant works of art that enhance, not detract from, a home's appearance," said Mr. H. Y. Nho, President of LG Electronics' Air-Conditioning Division.
"By combining customer insight with industry-leading technology and design, LG continues to develop products which set up the new industry standard and to be the leading brand in the Global Air Conditioners market."
Thanks to its new "Air Robot" technology featuring three-dimensional air flow, LG's new Air Conditioners can cool a certain spot two times faster than its previous products. When turned on, air outlets emerge from the top, left and right sides of the air conditioner, delivering cool air flow up to nine meters away, two times further than previous models. LG's environmentally-friendly digital inverter system is also present in the new models, helping it use up to 82 percent less energy compared to previous models.
General Manager of LG Electronics in Jordan Mr. Kevin Cha commented "LG's main priority is to provide luxurious and joinable living standards accompanied with comfort and safety within each and every place to meet the modern lifestyle demands".
"LG is working through a standard policy to develop their products periodically every year, because we believe in the importance of keeping up with the latest technological updates in the industry of home devices. We are looking forward to maintain our pioneer position in manufacturing and producing all kinds of central Air Conditioners in the world, while putting in our concern the comfort and happiness of our clients and providing safety and security for them and their families," he added.
Another new feature, a white gold deodorizing filter, is able to completely remove odors and volatile organic compounds (VOC) from the air. Additionally, the robot dusting function, incorporated inside of all of LG's Air Conditioners, regularly cleans out dust hidden in filters and helps keeping the unit clean.
This function also maintains effective cooling and results in energy savings of 13 percent for standing models and 15 percent for wall-mounted ones. LG's new 2008 Air Conditioners, which will soon be available worldwide, are also equipped with customized humidity controls, humidity alarm, and sleep function for additional convenience and comfort.
From his end, Assistant Marketing Manager of Middle East Complex Mr. Ghazi Farouq said "Our company is seeking to get the new devices and presenting them in the Jordanian market during the first half of 2008".
He also added that LG and the Middle East Complex "acknowledged the desire of Jordanians to keep up in the world of high-tech and home devices. Therefore, it's our duty to fulfill that wish due to the social responsibility towards the Jordanian society that we are inseparable from".
LG has been the world's largest Air Conditioner manufacturer for eight consecutive years, with a record USD 4.8 billion in Global Air Conditioner sales in 2007.
