Dubai, UAE, 22 October, 2009 - LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, will be celebrating ten months as A GLOBAL PARTNER OF FORMULA 1™ and A TECHNOLOGY PARTNER OF FORMULA 1™ at this year's inaugural 2009 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, one of the most anticipated events in the international sporting calendar. As part of this top level association that began in January 2009, LG acquired exclusive designations and marketing rights as OFFICIAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS OF FORMULA 1™, OFFICIAL MOBILE PHONE OF FORMULA 1™ and OFFICIAL DATA PROCESSOR OF FORMULA 1™.

With Abu Dhabi brand new to the Championship calendar, the milestone event will attract huge numbers of tourists and visitors to the UAE, significantly raising international media awareness of the region. Abu Dhabi will be setting the precedent for an event of this size in the Middle East, placing it among the ranks of Monaco and Singapore. As OFFICIAL DATA PROCESSOR OF FORMULA 1™, LG will be identified and credited on the official 2009 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX live timing service and in the associated timing and data TV graphics.
