UAE: Being a global leader in kitchen and bath fixtures and furnishings, Kohler has been present in Middle East markets for nearly 30 years. Among the latest product introductions are innovative technological advancements such as the KOHLER DTV, a showering valve that uses digital technology to customise the user's experience, Touchless faucets that feature new, reliable Tripoint technology, Experience whirlpools that offer a host of personalisation options as well as the unique Purist Hatbox toilet.

"Technology advancements are not just about computers and mobile phones," commented Mr Bob Rindo, Manager Export Sales Operations for Kohler Co. "We can incorporate cutting-edge, user-friendly high-tech products into our homes to save us time and enhance our living experience - and not just in the kitchen and living room, electronics are becoming increasingly important in the bathroom as well."

Some of Kohler's innovative technology advancements include:

KOHLER DTV Custom Showering Experience
The easy-to-use KOHLER DTV features a thermostatic valve and digital interface that offers homeowners myriad customized shower experiences utilizing multiple showerheads, hand showers and bodysprays - all controlled at the touch of a button. The custom showering product offers six pre-set water experience programs to operate up to eight showerheads and eliminates multiple knobs and valve handles that would be necessary in a mechanical installation.

The hydrotherapy programs can be combined with temperature therapy; and for complete freedom of choice, all showering components can also be operated individually. Homeowners can create their own personalized showering experiences by designing the showering environment of their dreams and programming customized settings that directly appeal to their desires.

Touchless Faucets
Kohler's Touchless faucets with Tripoint technology represent a new generation of sensor faucets. The technology works similar to the one of an auto focus camera and measures the distance between the user and the faucet.  Tripoint technology is not affected by distant movement, ambient light, reflective surfaces or glares, making it extremely reliable and a great asset in the effort of minimising water consumption. The offering includes two lavatory faucets designed for commercial use as well as a secondary kitchen faucet intended for residential use.

Purist Hatbox Toilet
For a real design statement, the Purist Hatbox toilet, with its sleek and elegant elliptical shape, offers a minimalist design with no visible tank or pipes.  The Power Lite twin touch actuator, located unobtrusively on the side of the bowl, offers a dual flushing system, which allows the user to choose between a light or heavy flush.  The dual flushing system can save an average household of four around 2000 gallons of water each year.

Experience Whirlpool
The Experience whirlpool range provides the ultimate in luxury and pampering.  Coming in a variety of designs - from circular, sunken and corner units to the more traditional - the collection offers a wide selection of hydrotherapy options - from the relaxing to the invigorating - to meet the needs of the individual. These include whirlpool jets, effervescence and chromatherapy. Effervescence ports emit thousands of champagne-like bubbles that cling to and caress the body while flexjets use a re-circulating mixture of air and water and target specific areas of the body.

A floating, waterproof remote control is available with KOHLER Experience whirlpools. It allows you to adjust your whirlpool experience during your bathing experience without changing positions.

Chromatherapy
Options for whirlpools also include chromatherapy - a light therapy technique through the use of colour.  It is widely believed that the use of colour has a significant psychological effect on the individual.  Green is thought to be calming, with red is associated with energy, for example.  Kohler's chromatherapy designs include a full spectrum of colours, from stimulating to soothing, and which can be activated by a simple touch of a button.  The colours themselves are transmitted via LED light ports positioned within the inner walls of the bath.

The products described above are just some of the offerings from Kohler's wide product range. For more information, visit www.kohler.com.
