Next generation digital camera brings professional quality photos within consumer's reach
DUBAI, UAE, September 9. Kodak Digital and Applied Imaging (D&AI) Middle East, recently announced the regional release of one of its latest EasyShare digital cameras the DX6440. Combining stunning picture quality, powerful features and a host of photographic creative controls with unparalleled ease of operation, the DX6440 accommodates both the advanced and basic photographers within the region.
Ideal for taking photographs in the Middle East, where extreme variations in light can make exposure challenging, the Kodak EasyShare DX6440 digital camera includes a professional quality 4X optical zoom lens, a high-speed and low-light precision auto-focus system and 4 mega pixel resolution delivering sharp prints up to 508mm x 762mm all with effortless operation that users have come to expect from Kodak.
“The EasyShare DX6440 demonstrates how Kodak is using its extensive knowledge of imaging technology to deliver phenomenal picture quality, performance, and ease of use,” said Nicolaos Valtetsiotis, Regional Sales Manager for Kodak D&AI. “Its advanced photography features, new image processing technology and intuitive controls set this camera apart from the crowd. Whether someone wants to take an artistic portrait or snap pictures of their kids playing on the beach, this versatile camera delivers.”
The user-friendly EasyShare DX6440 features aperture and shutter priority modes, as well as sport, night, portrait, landscape, close-up and automatic program modes. An impressive flash range of nearly 17 feet also aids low light shooting. In addition, the camera senses bright backlit subjects and can automatically trigger a fill flash to help
ensure that a subject is appropriately illuminated, essential when trying to capture the sunset on Jumeirah Beach!
The software’s exclusive ‘One Touch to Better Pictures’ feature, which takes advantage of proprietary color technologies developed by Kodak, helps people achieve vibrant, true-to-life prints from home inkjet printers, while reducing the trial, error and waste usually associated with home photo printing. Another common complaint among consumers is the significant lag between pressing the shutter and recording the picture. This problem is solved with the DX6440’s exceptionally fast click-to-capture time of only 0.4 seconds.
Other features of the EasyShare DX6440 include a large 1.8-inch high-resolution indoor/outdoor LCD screen, Kodak’s Color Science algorithms and a 3.8X advanced digital zoom which delivers noticeably clearer pictures than regular digital zoom. The camera’s red-jeweled “Share” button allows users to immediately select printing and emailing images. Additional features include a joystick control with easy-to-read menu options and the ability to record continuous digital video with audio.
The award-winning Kodak EasyShare digital photography system consisting of cameras, software, docks and printer docks, inkjet papers and accessories makes it simple for anyone to take, organize, share, and print high quality digital pictures.
