Dubai, UAE, 1 March 2005 -- Kodak Dental Systems, a leader in expanding products in the image and information technology industry, will feature its range of digital imaging, film imaging and Practice Management services at the Arab Dental Conference and Exhibition (AEEDC) 2005. After its 2003 acquisition of PracticeWorks Inc. and Trophy Radiologies S.A. which resulted in the successful integration of digital radiography, practice management software technology and e-services to its original portfolio of dental product offerings, Kodak Dental Systems will exhibit its new integrated solutions during the show.
Featured on the stand will be Kodak's extraoral digital imaging systems - the KODAK 8000 Digital Panoramic System and the KODAK 8000C Digital Panoramic and Cephalometric System. The KODAK 8000C System was the first system to support "one shot" cephalometric imaging, reducing the risk of blurred images and improving patient comfort while both systems are fully digital, allowing dentists to capture high-quality images quickly and perform all image programming in their computers using the systems' user-friendly interfaces.
Visitors can also preview the Kodak RVG 6000 and RVG 5000 digital radiography systems and the KODAK 2000 Intraoral X-Ray System. The KODAK RVG 6000 System captures images at a measured resolution of over 20 lines pairs per millimeter the highest resolution of any available digital intraoral technology, as documented recently by an independent research study (Farman, Allan G, Farman, Taeko T., Digital Intra-Oral Radiography '04, Spring 2004 - AADMRT Newsletter). Building on its success with digital capture technology, Kodak will also feature its DX6490 dedicated Dental Digital Camera System whereby with a touch of a button, images can be transferred to any device through Kodak's dental practice management applications.
"After the successful acquisition and integration of PracticeWorks and Trophy into Kodak Dental Systems, AEEDC is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our expanded portfolio. We have put the Kodak name on Trophy and PracticeWorks products, including Trophy's digital radiography systems and PracticeWorks' broad portfolio of practice management solutions," commented Patrik Eriksson, Vice President - International for Kodak Dental Systems. "Having Trophy and PracticeWorks as part of the team, Kodak is now offering a wider range of services and is considered a leader in setting new industry standards," added Eriksson.
The Kodak booth, no. 202-203, is located in the main exhibition hall at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, where AEEDC will take place from 1-3 March 2005.
