MUSCAT, 30th September, 2013 - The company that introduced Oman to the vibrant world of decorative paints, initially through imports and later through domestic production, is adding its name to a prestigious line-up of paint brands that will take part in this year's Home Show.
Khimji Ramdas (KR), which in the late 1960s made history by becoming the first company to import the reputable Permoglaze brand of paints into the Sultanate, will be showcasing the impressive strides it has made as the nation's foremost manufacturer and supplier of decorative paints.
Hailed as the definitive trade expo on the home environment, The Home Show 2013 will take place from 9 - 11 December at Oman International Exhibition Centre. The three-day event has been organized by Global Exhibitions & Conferences LLC (GEC). It will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing, and with the support of Muscat Electricity Distribution Company (MEDC), Oman Housing Bank and AHK German Industry and Commerce.
KR's credentials as a trendsetter in the decorative paints industry in Oman are unmatched. Having ushered in an era of decorative paints in the Sultanate, the Group went on to establish a modern paint manufacturing plant at Rusayl under the 'Khimji Permoglaze' name in 1985. Over the decades, the Permoglaze label has come to symbolize quality, durability and rich colour that have enlivened the interiors and exteriors of countless homes and buildings.
Taking centre-stage at KR's pavilion at The Home Show will be a wide selection of paint products bearing the trusted Permoglaze trademark, says Mr. Kamat, Senior Divisional Manager - Khimji Permoglaze. "Our pavilion will serve to spotlight the widespread uptake of the Permoglaze brand of decorative paints in Oman, as well as the formidable capabilities of the KR Group in meeting the ever evolving needs of the paints market across the wider region. Our quality products are not only designed to withstand the temperature and environmental conditions of this region, but also bring life to surfaces."
"To add to this, it will be an excellent platform for us to talk about our first experience centre at Honda Road in Muscat. The experience centre is in line with Create your Paint concept, an initiative aimed to reach closer to our customer" added Kamat.
The Home Show is also an opportunity for Khimji Permoglaze to showcase its hugely successful 'Paint A Home' initiative. Now in its sixth year, the scheme enables customers to enlist the services of KR's experienced and professional painting staff to make the interiors and exteriors of their homes or offices come alive with the richness and quality of Permoglaze coatings.
Given the Home Show's appeal as the premier trade fair on the ideal home environment, a number of other leading paint brands have also signed up as exhibitors in the upcoming event. Notable are Sadolin Paints, Berger Paints, Jotun, Hempel and National Paints.
This year's Home Show will feature a comprehensive mix of products and services, notably furniture and furnishings, bedroom and bathroom sets, kitchen systems and appliances, doors and windows, home appliances and electronics, wall and floor coverings, lighting and fixtures, and a selection of smart home solutions.
Also showcasing their services will be an array of service-providers catering to all aspects of the homebuilding and homeownership space. They include property consultants, interior designers, home décor and improvement specialists, and financial institutions offering home loans, among others.
