Internet Explorer 9 enables developers to build the next generation of Web experiences
Amman, Kharabeesh and iAraby turned to HTML 5 and Internet Explorer 9 to create the first of its kind Arabic musical experiment, which enables a high-performance animation that is highly interactive and widely compatible. The Arabic animation created by Kharabeesh and sponsored by Microsoft Jordan, is a pioneer development experience where the character, MiniHath, tells stories in the form of songs. Users across the Arab region can experience an interactive video clip specific to each user when visiting MiniHath.com.
Wael Attili, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Kharabeesh stated, "HTML 5 is a new technology and a new experience that allowed us to build many tools on our own. The outcome was the first Arabic animation using Graphics Acceleration and Internet Explorer 9. Relying on IE9 technology in integrating Minihath.com opened the door for many creative ideas to be embedded in the song. Without IE9, 'Zay Annas' would have just been a normal clip."
Ahmad Barqawi, co-founder at iAraby stated, "The MiniHath animations were heavy with many moving and transforming objects, and IE9's Graphics Acceleration made viewing this animation possible."
Muhammad Arrabi, Developer Platform Evangelist at Microsoft Jordan, stated, "Microsoft designed Internet Explorer 9 to take full advantage of Windows-based computer hardware, enabling developers to re-imagine the role of the browser by building graphically rich and immersive Web experiences that are as fast and responsive as applications installed on users' computers."
Kharabeesh is one of a few partners in Jordan that is showcasing how they have used the capabilities of Internet Explorer 9 to introduce a new user experience, resulting in an increase in page views and repeat visits to sites already incorporating IE9 features. Kharabeesh launched Kharabeesh.com, a unique site based on Social Traffic that implements Internet Explorer 9's site-pinning and jumplists features.
